About Global Toolbox
What is Global Toolbox Training?
Global Toolbox is a set of tools that prepare you for working with youth and social change in your local community and through regional and global networks. Toolbox courses are intensive 5-7 day courses and residential seminars in different topics such as team leadership, campaigning, facilitation, social entrepreneurship and new media. The courses give you the basic tools to engage in struggles for social change, whether it be as a leader, an activist, campaigner or communicator.
How?
The toolbox courses are based on participatory methods and peer-to-peer learning. This means that all of the courses will be structured around practical exercises and the knowledge exchange between participants supplemented by teaching sessions from professional consultants. You don’t need to have any specific qualifications to participate in any of the toolbox courses, but you are expected to actively participate and influence the course.
Why?
We believe that young people are among the main drivers of social change. Therefore, training of youth is central. Through the Global Toolbox courses we seek to give active youth concrete tools to act as local and global change agents in their struggle to reduce social and economic inequality.
Who?
Anyone can participate in the Global Toolbox courses. The courses run on the Global Platforms in Denmark, El Salvador, Nepal, Tanzania and Jordan. We have trainings in English, Spanish, and Arabic.
